*Having received her enrollment letter for Hogwarts, Quin strode into Ollivanders with her wizard father and tried many wands before finding her new wand. ("Gum with an owl feather core, nine inches, quite springy," was Ollivander's description). She skipped out happily with her dad and they went to buy the rest of her necessary supplies.*

*after watching Quin with her dad Melanie squeezes her witch mothers hand and walks into the shop happily. After trying three different wands Olivander announced "Hippogriff talon and mahogany, very good for charms." After exchanging thanks Melanie was ushered out of the door clutching her precious leathery box, she was still in awe at the amount of things she had to buy.*
